Holy crap, a journal!

Yea, I've been pretty busy with classes (for the past couple of weeks, I've had at least one exam a week ). I have time right now because classes were canceled for today due to 27+ inches of snow yesterday and last night, so I decided to update this journal (since I am no longer near 9000 pageveiws, and to give you all an update of what's going on).

I guess first up would be dA related stuff. Sadly, the most popular thing I've uploaded since my last journal is probably the Billy Mays thing. It also seems that Burdens Ch. 6 was a bit of a dud, but I deemed it a necessary chapter for the reader to understand Hogosha and Meibatsu a little better (or, at least as much as I want them to know). I might work on the next chapter today, but I'm probably going to try and finish as much homework as I can first. I'm also looking into taking larger pictures of all of my deviations and submitting those (probably at least wallpaper size).

In the world of music, I've been improving on my bass a lot. Lately, I've been working on playing with a pick instead of with my fingers. The reason is that it's hard to play fast, repetitive notes whilst finger plucking. One song that I'm working on is Overkill, by Motörhead (Here's the song: [link] ).
I had a jam session a while back with a family friend. He was going to play guitar, but something was wrong with his equipment, so he ended up playing bass as well. By the end of the night, we actually recorded a song. I have this jam session on my YouTube page. Bear in mind that the lead part is actually a bass, even though it sounds like a guitar. This guy is pretty amazing.

Other than that, I'm doing well in all of my classes, which will hopefully bring up my GPA. One of my friends also started a Quidditch team at Mines (yes, you read that correctly). I signed up because I think it'll be fun, even though I've only read the first Harry Potter book (Merlyn is way cooler.) If anyone has questions about that, feel free to ask me for more details.

Lastly, my birthday was sometime between my last journal and this one. Leading up to my birthday, I felt old (I turned 20) because I could no longer be called a teenager. My birthday itself, thoough, was just a normal day with classes from 8 to 4 and a test the next day. I'm also going to be Billy Mays for Halloween (If you act now, you'll get a second piece of candy ABSOLUTELY FREE!).

Looking for a Japanese translator

As a lot of you probably know, one of my deviations (Naruto's Sword: [link] ) is referenced from an upcoming Wii game. I've been looking around the website and watched a 4 minute trailer ( [link] ), and I saw a scene where a red-headed woman handed Naruto the sword. Is there anyone that could listen to the commentary on the video and tell me if they said anything about the origins or powers of the sword? Or, if you're literate, could you take a look at this web page ( [link] ) and tell me if it says anything about where she's from or about the sword? Anything would be greatly appreciated.

NARUTO 469 SPOILERS AHEAD!!!

If you haven't read it yet, it's up on OneManga. Read it first, then read this.

If you've read some of my pairing theories before, you'd know I figured there'd be a love triangle between Sakura, Hinata, and Naruto. Guess what? That's exactly what happened.
Sakura's confession is kind of weird, but it's a confession nontheless. I'd also like to point out something I noticed on page 11 ( [link] ). If you look on the bottom panel, you can see Lee with his face in one of his hands, probably crying. That doesn't really have anything to do with this, I just thought it was kind of funny.
Now for the meat of this whole debate thing. 'Why did Naruto reject her?'. I will now present what I think happened. For the record, this is not an instant win for either NaruSaku or NaruHina.

On page 12, Sakura tells Naruto to forget about the promise he made. Next panel over, you see the small exclimation diamond on Naruto's forehead. The reason he is shocked is because forgetting about Sasuke goes against his Nindo. He's not just trying to bring Sasuke back for her; he's bringing him back because he cares about his old comrade. Then, before she can finish her sentence (which we probably all know what she was going to say), Naruto pushes her away.
"I can't stand people who lie to themselves." This is the most important sentence in all of this. What is he referencing to? I personally think this sentence has double meaning. First, it might be that he doesn't completely believe that she is actually saying these thing. However, I think the major meaning of this is that she is lying about not wanting Sasuke back. Sasuke was their teammate and friend; abandoning him is something neither Naruto nor Sakura can do. When Sakura says she wants him to forget his promise, he doesn't believe that she wants to give up on Sasuke.
The only thing I don't understand about this entire thing is Kiba's scowl on page 14. Maybe it has something to do with the flashback from page 12? I don't know...
What does this mean for NaruSaku or NaruHina supporters. Honestly, all it does it put Sakura back at the same level as Hinata. We the readers don't know who, if anybody, Naruto is going to choose.

End Naruto 469 Spoilers

One more thing I'd like to say. I think we're getting close to the end of Shippuuden. For those of you that follow the manga and the anime, you've probably noticed that the anime is getting really close to where the manga is. I think Kishimoto might be planning on having them end at about the same time. Now, this theory doesn't have a lot of support, but I wouldn't be surprised if it ended soon.

Oh yea, one final note: I HATE ALL THE PEOPLE THAT HAVE BEEN POSTING NARUTO 469 SPOILERS!!! IF IT'S ON YOUR JOURNAL, AT LEAST PUT THE IMPORTANT PART NEAR THE BOTTOM SO I CAN'T ACCIDENTALLY READ IT WHEN I'M LOOKING AT ALL OF YOUR JOURNALS IN MY INBOX!!!

Sorry, I had to get that out. I just really don't like how people post spoilers on dA. It makes me not want to look for new deviations a few days before the next chapter comes out...
